Battling extremely low night temps in Himalayan winter conditions is a major challenge for climbers.
You need rest and recuperation each night if you want to push hard each day. The Thor NEO provides high-quality, comfortable, warm sleep thats key to success in any high altitude adventure.
The Thor NEO uses the fundamental anatomical baffle design from the Shocking Blue bag, featuring an identical foot box, draft collar and hood design that has been in use with great success for several years. Professional field testers and experienced outdoor and mountaineering users rated our Shocking Blues limit of comfort at -25°C (-13°F). This temp range is great for most, but for extreme missions, it might not cut it.
So with the Thor NEO, we upped the ante.
We took the Shocking Blue NEO and gave it a 60% increase in baffle height and down load, keeping the generous inside dimensions identical. In order to keep the total weight and pack size down, we decreased the zipper length from 69 to 53.
The result is a bag that remains spacious and comfy, but keeps the climber warm at temps as low as -45°C (-50°F). The Thor NEO also offers a high-tech foot box, draft collar and hood design with a total weight of 1,871 g (66 oz).
Like the legendary god of thunder, our Thor NEO bag will take on the giants of the mountains and come out unscathed, each and every time.
